


The inaugural WCM Mexico Senior Open, hosted by VDVIGM, made history as the first Mexico Senior Open on the Legends Tour. Held at Punta Mita from November 15–17, 2024, the event brought together golfing legends and amateurs for a memorable experience.

Lee Trevino, a global golf icon and the tournament ambassador, added prestige and inspiration to the event. Known as one of the most influential players in golf history, Trevino’s presence underscored the significance of bringing a Legends Tour event to Mexico.
Played on the world-class Pacifico Golf Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus and featuring the iconic “Tail of the Whale,” participants showcased exceptional skill.

Steven Alker claimed victory at 17-under-par with a flawless final round, narrowly defeating James Kingston. The tournament boasted a USD $450,000 prize purse, attracting top-tier talent.

A unique alliance format saw 64 amateurs compete alongside professionals, crowning the first Mexico Senior Open Alliance Champions.
