Welcome to the WCM Mexico Senior Open, proudly hosted by VDV Internacional Golf Manejo in the stunning luxury resort of Punta Mita, Nayarit, Mexico. Scheduled for November 14-17, 2024, this landmark event, the first-ever Mexico senior open, part of the Legends Tour, promises to be an unforgettable experience for participants and spectators alike.
Set against the backdrop of the Pacific Ocean, the tournament unfolds at the Pacifico Golf Course, a masterpiece designed by Jack Nicklaus. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, this par-72 course is famed for its “Tail of the Whale,” the world's only natural ocean island green. It offers a real challenge and yet a very enjoyable experience.
Our tournament will gather a constellation of golf legends, including Masters Champion Ian Woosnam, U.S. Open Champion Michael Campbell, Ryder Cup heroes Costantino Rocca and Jean Van De Velde. Joining them is six-time major champion Lee Trevino, who serves as an event ambassador. These iconic players, among other celebrated Legends, will compete for a substantial prize fund of USD $450,000.
In a unique twist, the WCM Mexico Senior Open also features 64 amateur golfers who will compete alongside the Legends Tour professionals in a modified alliance format. This integration of amateurs is set to crown the Mexico Senior Open Alliance champions, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.
