Jean Van De Velde
FOUNDER
International golf icon Jean Van De Velde has served as an ambassador for UNICEF France since 2012, only the second French athlete to receive this distinction, using his platform to champion child-focused initiatives. With over two decades of dedication to social causes through sport, he brings discipline, global perspective, and a deep commitment to the Foundation’s mission in education, inclusion, and health.
Jeovana Van De Velde
PRESIDENT
With a background in nonprofit collaboration and community engagement, Jeovana Van De Velde brings strong leadership and a deep commitment to social equity. Her work centers on building trusted partnerships, guiding educational and health-focused initiatives, and ensuring long-term impact in underserved communities. As President of the Foundation, she provides strategic direction grounded in empathy, discipline, and a clear vision for inclusive development.
Alexis Ornelas
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
With a background in strategic leadership and institutional development, Alexis Ornelas serves as Director General of the VDV Foundation. He leads the organization’s vision, program strategy, and partnerships, ensuring long-term impact in education, health, and sports. Committed to social equity, he combines purpose-driven leadership with a focus on results, guiding the Foundation’s growth and its role in the communities it serves.
Our commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals
At VDV Foundation, we proudly align our mission and programs with key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), contributing to a more just, healthy, and inclusive world. As part of the global effort defined by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, our initiatives address pressing challenges through local, measurable action and long-term impact.
No Poverty
Through our high school and university scholarship programs, we reduce economic barriers for students from low-income families, providing access to quality education and long-term opportunity. Our MANOS program also contributes by improving nutritional security, strengthening overall resilience in vulnerable communities.
Zero Hunger
MANOS delivers fortified nutritional supplements to children and pregnant women in underserved areas, targeting malnutrition through tailored support and ongoing follow-up. This focused intervention addresses both immediate needs and long-term health.
No Poverty
Smiles for Everyone provides free dental care and hygiene education to entire communities, while MANOS supports immune health through nutrition. Our sports programs promote physical activity, mental well-being, and self-confidence in children and youth, including athletes with disabilities.
Quality Education
Our core mission is grounded in expanding access to education. We offer full scholarships at both high school and university levels, provide English-language learning through sports, and introduce academic values such as discipline and perseverance via golf-based programs.
Gender Equality
Across all programs, girls and women are equally supported and encouraged to participate—whether in scholarship selection, sports inclusion, or access to health and nutrition services—ensuring fair opportunities regardless of gender.
Clean Water and Sanitation
Smiles for Everyone indirectly supports this goal by promoting better hygiene habits through education and distribution of dental care kits, which contribute to broader public health and sanitation awareness.
Reduced Inequalities
We address social and economic disparities through all our initiatives: scholarships remove financial barriers; sports promote inclusion regardless of ability or background; and healthcare and nutrition reach those often left behind.
